Strange Interlude – A Eugene O’Neill play that shows the tangled web of the differentiation between our thoughts and our words. Norma Shearer plays a woman who lost the love of her life when he was shot down in WWI. The movie tells of romances and marriages between Nina and three men, only one of whom she loves. It is about growing old without settling their complications. This is a preoccupying film, with Shearer at her shining best.
